Les papiers d'internement écossais

L'Écosse garda sa propre loi sur les aliénés, celle de 1857, jusqu'en 1960. Un parent ou un inspecteur des pauvres demandait au shérif du comté d'ordonner l'admission du malade dans un asile public ou privé, avec un état de dix-neuf renseignements et deux certificats médicaux, la requête datée dans les quatorze jours francs qui les suivaient. Chaque médecin certifiait, sur l'honneur et la conscience, qu'il avait ce jour-là, séparément de tout autre praticien, visité et examiné en personne le malade, et que celui-ci était aliéné, fou, idiot ou d'esprit dérangé et devait être gardé sous soins et traitement, avec les faits qu'il avait lui-même observés et ceux que d'autres lui avaient rapportés. Le shérif, ou son substitut, autorisait alors le directeur à recevoir le malade et son transfert à l'asile.

Bearer imprime les formulaires tels que le General Board of Commissioners in Lunacy les imprima dans son premier rapport de 1859 ; la loi fut modifiée en 1862 et 1866, et l'office dit au-dessus des papiers que ceux des années 1920 et 1930 sont supposés identiques.

Bearer fabrique les papiers d'un investigateur pour L'Appel de Cthulhu et toute campagne de jeu de rôle des années 1920 ou 1930 : le passeport qu'un consul aurait rempli, avec les visas et tampons de frontière qu'une campagne y laisse, et les permis, certificats et bulletins de l'époque, à imprimer ou à partager.
