The French press card

The law of 29 March 1935 on professional journalists gave them an identity card, issued from 1936 by the Commission set up by the decree of 17 January 1936: a card stating that the holder is JOURNALISTE professionnel dans les conditions déterminées par la loi, typed with the file number, the name, the newspaper, the address, the date and place of birth, signed by the Commission's two delegates, stamped with the timbre de dimension, valid for a year and numbered.

Bearer prints it off the card of Colette, writing for Paris-Soir, valid from 1 April 1939 to 1 April 1940.

Bearer makes an investigator's papers for Call of Cthulhu and any 1920s or 1930s tabletop campaign: the passport a consul would have filled in, with the visas and frontier stamps a campaign leaves in it, and the permits, certificates and tickets of the period, to print or to share.

• the card read runs from 1 April 1939 to 1 April 1940; that every card ran from 1 April has not been found, and the dates of issue and expiry are the ones you give. What would settle it: cards of 1936 to 1938.
• the timbre de dimension is drawn as a ring with its legend, without the figure of the Republic it carries. What would settle it: nothing: the emblems of states are not drawn.
• the size of the card. What would settle it: a card measured.
