France
France issued a booklet of 32 pages in French alone, and the Geneva conference of 1926 named the booklets in use in England, Germany, Austria and France as the type to recommend: this is a passport of the international type.
Its order is its own. Page 1 carries the name, the first names, the nationality, the place and date of birth, the profession and the domicile; page 2 the description, and under it the children the bearer travels with; page 3 the photograph and the signature; page 4 the validity, which runs for all countries save the exceptions written in; pages 5 and 6 four blocks for prorogations, each with the square where the special adhesive stamp went; the visas begin on page 7, and every one of them repeats the heading "reproduce the bearer's name in each visa".
The booklet read is the form J. 7167-37, issued by the consulate general of France at Beyrouth in October 1938 and running one year. Whether the booklet of the early twenties printed the same pages is still to be read.
Bearer makes an investigator's papers for Call of Cthulhu and any 1920s or 1930s tabletop campaign: the passport a consul would have filled in, with the visas and frontier stamps a campaign leaves in it, and the permits, certificates and tickets of the period, to print or to share.

- validity of one year. What would settle it: dated booklets: the one read was issued on 21 October 1938 and expires on 20 October 1939, and the four prorogation blocks on pages 5 and 6 say it was made to be renewed.
- the size of the booklet: the League's 15.5 by 10.5 cm is used. What would settle it: a French booklet measured.
