The English death certificate

Every death in England and Wales was registered in a book whose columns the Act of 1836 printed in its Schedule B: when died, the name and surname, the sex, the age, the rank or profession, the cause of death, the signature, description and residence of the informant, when registered, and the registrar's signature. The cause of death, and who came to declare it, are where investigators read what a family preferred to hide.

The columns and the registrar's certificate are the Act's; the heading and layout of the copy are ours, since no certified copy of the period has been found.

Bearer makes an investigator's papers for Call of Cthulhu and any 1920s or 1930s tabletop campaign: the passport a consul would have filled in, with the visas and frontier stamps a campaign leaves in it, and the permits, certificates and tickets of the period, to print or to share.
