Dewet, CC BY-SA 2.0, Wikimedia Commons

A huge crocodile of African rivers, lakes and marshes that basks for long hours in the day, often several sharing one bank, and hunts on land at night. It kills hundreds of people every year. Its skin is the reason it is ranched across Africa, and people raid its nests for eggs.
