Curare Vine Bark
Plant · Rare
Young bark scrapings, other plants and sometimes snake venom are boiled for two days into a dark paste for blowgun darts and arrows. It kills by paralysing the diaphragm but is harmless when swallowed. Healers used it against tetanus and convulsions, the cure lying close to the lethal dose.
