Eurasian Lynx

Lynx lynx · Mammal

A solitary cat of thick woods and rocky slopes, most active at dawn and dusk, that kills deer three or four times its own weight. It does not attack people unless hurt, trapped or sick. It was long hunted for its fur, and herders still complain of the sheep it takes.
