Sea Hibiscus Bast
Plant · Common
The inner bark gives the fibre for rope, cordage and fishing nets; Indigenous Australians made harpoon lines for dugong and turtle from it, washed wounds with a brew of the inner bark and wrapped them in strips of it. Bark and roots boiled make a tea taken for fever.
