Maidenhair Fronds

Plant · Common

Capillaire syrup, made with the fern, was once taken for the chest and mixed with milk and tea, coffee or chocolate into the bavaroise drinks fashionable in the 18th century. The Navajo bathed bumblebee and centipede stings in its infusion, and Iranian traditional medicine gives it for jaundice and coughs.
