Hunter Shark
A shark attacking a swimmer in Havana harbour, Watson and the Shark by John Singleton Copley, 1778 · John Singleton Copley, Watson and the Shark, oil on canvas, 1778, Public domain, Wikimedia Commons

Hunter sharks roam warm seas alone, fast and relentless once they taste blood. They attack swimmers and anything thrashing in the water. Pearl divers keep a lookout in the boat for the dark fin.
