Pond Apples
Plant · Common
An apple-sized fruit or larger, falling green or yellowish, with sweet-scented yellow to orange flesh that tastes of ripe honeydew melon. It is eaten fresh, made into jam and fruit drinks; the crushed seeds, cooked in coconut oil, were once rubbed into the hair against lice.
