Palo Santo Wood
Plant · Uncommon
Sticks of the aged heartwood, rich in fragrant terpenes such as limonene, are burnt as incense in rites; the oil is rubbed on to relax, and folk healers use the wood against stomach aches, to bring on sweating and as a liniment for rheumatism.
