Kentish & Continental Steam Packet Company
Kentish & Continental Steam Packet Company (Kentish Packet) is a fictional steamship line of the Passage network, period-plausible, with 2 steamers on 1 routes.
Passage computes it for Call of Cthulhu and any 1920s or 1930s tabletop campaign: pick two places and a date, and print the ticket the purser's clerk would have written.
Historical model
Modelled on the railway packets of the short sea route from Dover to Calais, about 21 nautical miles and a crossing of an hour and a quarter, worked by the South Eastern and Chatham Railway and from 1923 by the Southern Railway with turbine steamers (T.S.S.), the boat trains running from Victoria to the quay at Dover Marine and on from Calais Maritime; from 1929 the Golden Arrow and its steamer Canterbury carried the Pullman passengers for Paris.
