Golden Gate & Orient Steamship Company

Golden Gate & Orient Steamship Company (Golden Gate Line) is a fictional steamship line of the Passage network, period-plausible, with 8 steamers on 2 routes.

Passage computes it for Call of Cthulhu and any 1920s or 1930s tabletop campaign: pick two places and a date, and print the ticket the purser's clerk would have written.

Historical model

Modelled on the Dollar Steamship Line's President liners and the Matson Line, San Francisco to Honolulu, Yokohama, Shanghai, Hong Kong and Manila. Its South Seas route follows the Oceanic Steamship Company, sold to Matson in 1926: San Francisco by Honolulu, Pago Pago and Suva to Sydney in about three weeks, with the faster Mariposa and Monterey from 1932.
