Bonesteel
TTRPG Fictional · Rare · Medieval
Created by collecting the bones of creatures that died of extreme old age, never of violence, and subjecting them to a necromantic smelting process that transmutes calcium and spiritual residue into a true metal. The resulting material retains a memory of every year the original creature lived.

Lore & Narrative
Bonesteel from a thousand-year-old dragon produces different properties than bonesteel from a century-old sage. Those who carry it long enough begin to share in its memories, starting with the final moments of the creature's life and working backward. Some find it peaceful. Some do not survive the experience.
